Upcoming Women’s and Girls’ Table Tennis Tournament Promises Exciting Action
The highly anticipated Sussex Women’s Summer 2 Singles tournament*, hosted by Worthing Table Tennis Club, is just around the corner. This annual event is the final women’s and girls’ competition of the season, following successful tournaments in Sheffield and Durham.
The competition, scheduled for Sunday, June 16, will feature a range of exciting categories, including:
- Para Classes 1-5 for wheelchair users
- Classes 6-10 for those with standing disabilities
- U13s, U15s, U19s, Restricted (19-39), and Vets age groups
- An afternoon Open Event
Last year’s edition of the tournament boasted entries from four countries and 14 counties, and this international trend is expected to continue, promising high-caliber table tennis action for spectators.

Worthing Table Tennis Club is also offering a free “come and try” session for disabled individuals on Saturday, July 13, from noon to 2 pm at Bohunt School in Worthing. Qualified and DBS-checked coaches with experience working with disabled people will be on hand to provide equipment and support.
