Table Tennis Umpire Vincenzo Chiarella Reaches New Heights
Vincenzo Chiarella, a dedicated table tennis umpire, has achieved a significant milestone in his career by successfully completing his Level 2 qualification at the recent Mark Bates Ltd U10-13 National Championships. This accomplishment marks a crucial step in his journey towards the international stage.
Chiarella was among a cohort of umpires who passed their written exam at the WTT Feeder Manchester in February and have since been working diligently through their practical assessments. This final phase was completed during the U10-13 Nationals at WV Active earlier this month, where Chiarella showcased his commitment and expertise.
“I am incredibly proud to be part of this amazing community,” he said. “My commitment is to always do my best and continually improve, setting high standards and facing any challenges with seriousness and dedication.”
Chiarella views this achievement as both the realization of his current goals and the inspiration for future ambitions. “This achievement represents the power of planning, consistency, patience and dedication, showing that dreams can indeed come true,” he added. “I hope to inspire others, including my nine-year-old daughter, with this message.”
Looking ahead, Chiarella’s sights are set on the next step in his umpiring career: becoming an International Umpire. He aspires to be ready for the World Team Championships in London in 2026, driven by a desire to make Table Tennis England and his supporters proud.
