Table Tennis Clubs Invited to Webinar on Improving Wheelchair Accessibility
Are you looking to enhance your table tennis club’s offerings for wheelchair users? If so, you won’t want to miss an upcoming webinar that aims to help clubs and organizations improve their accessibility and inclusivity in the sport.
The free webinar, scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, July 11th, will feature guest speaker Amanda Worne, one of Table Tennis England’s Women & Girls Ambassadors, a member of the SHEcoaches cohort, and a wheelchair user herself. Amanda will share her personal experiences of becoming wheelchair-reliant and how she discovered the joy of table tennis as an accessible and engaging sport.
During the session, which is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes, Amanda will provide valuable insights on the unseen challenges wheelchair users face and offer guidance on how clubs can better cater to their needs. By addressing these often overlooked issues, clubs can deliver the best possible experience for wheelchair users and ensure they feel welcomed and supported in the table tennis community.
“This webinar is being organized as part of the South East Local Delivery Plan, but it is open to clubs and organizations across all regions that are interested in understanding, expanding, or improving their provision for wheelchair users in table tennis.”
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Amanda’s expertise and take your club’s accessibility to the next level. Sign up today to secure your spot and create a more inclusive environment for all table tennis enthusiasts.
