Asuncion, Paraguay – The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Sports Development is thrilled to announce that the prestigious 2024 ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge will be held in the Paraguayan capital of Asuncion from November 1-7, 2024. This marquee talent identification event will make its first-ever appearance in the Americas, marking a significant milestone for the Hopes program and the continued growth of table tennis globally.
ITTF Sports Development Director’s Excitement
Mikael Andersson, the ITTF Sports Development Director, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, stating:
“We are thrilled to be able to welcome the World Hopes players and coaches to Paraguay. The Hopes Program
The Hopes Program, a core pillar of ITTF’s Sports Development pathways, aims to identify and nurture young table tennis talents from around the world. After a rigorous continental qualification process, up to 40 players (20 girls and 20 boys) and their coaches will converge in Asuncion for an intense week of training, educational sessions, and the final Hopes Challenge tournament.
