The ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2024 is finally here! Staged from Monday, April 15th to Sunday, April 21st at the illustrious Galaxy Arena in Macao, this marks the long-awaited return of the singles World Cup after a three-year hiatus. Fans can look forward to seeing some familiar faces, as the 2020 Men’s and Women’s World Cup champions return to defend their titles. Fan Zhendong aims to secure a record-breaking fifth Men’s World Cup title, while Chen Meng seeks to continue her dominance with a second Women’s World Cup triumph. Additionally, the current World No. 1’s, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha, as well as the current World Youth Champions, Lin Shidong and Kuai Man, will be among the players to watch.
The tournament will be split into two stages, with players competing in groups of three during Stage 1. The top player from each group will advance to the knockout Stage 2. On top of the prestigious Evans and Hammarlund Cup, a share of a USD 1,000,000 prize pool is up for grabs.
