In a display of talent and determination, Rohan Dani emerged as the sole English player to reach the knockout stage at the prestigious WTT Youth Contender tournament held in Platja D’Aro, Spain. Dani, a rising star in the table tennis world, showcased his skills by advancing to the last 32 in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories, earning a commendable group runner-up finish in both age groups.
Despite Dani’s impressive performance, his English counterparts, Gabriel Schogger and Jake Davidson, were unable to progress from the group stage in their respective events. Schogger competed in the Under-19 category, while Davidson took part in the Under-15 and Under-17 competitions.
