Table Tennis Superstar Liam Pitchford Joins Florida Crocs in MLTT Draft
The highly anticipated Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) draft saw table tennis prodigy Liam Pitchford selected as the top pick by the Florida Crocs. Pitchford, who has already made a name for himself on the international stage, will now spearhead the Crocs’ campaign in the league’s second season, set to commence in September.
Joining Pitchford in the Crocs lineup are Kaden Xu (USA), Yuan-Yu Wu (TPE), and Seunghwan Lee (KOR), complementing the four players they retained from the previous season: Daniel Gorak (Poland), Marc Duran (Spain), Matilda Ekholm (Sweden), and Daniel Gonzalez (Puerto Rico).
In the draft system, the four teams that failed to reach the playoffs in the inaugural season were given the advantage of picking ahead of the playoff contenders. The Crocs, assigned the first pick, wasted no time in securing the services of the talented Pitchford.
“I’m excited to join, it’s a new experience for me, and I can bring more to the team. We can go all the way.”

They will be joined by new additions Amirhossein Hodaei (Iran), Artur Abusev (Russia), and Jeet Chandra (India) as they aim to defend their title.
Other notable signings include Emmanuel Lebesson of France, who was picked by the Chicago Wind, Lubomir Pistej of Slovakia (Seattle Spinners), and Benedek Olah of Finland, who will represent the Princeton Revolution.
The upcoming MLTT season promises to be an electrifying one, with top-tier table tennis players from around the world competing for the coveted championship title. Fans of the sport can look forward to witnessing Liam Pitchford and the Florida Crocs make their mark on the league.
