England’s Tom Jarvis Impresses at WTT Contender Zagreb
England’s Tom Jarvis, currently ranked 193rd in the world, has pulled off an impressive feat at the WTT Contender Zagreb event. The 23-year-old has defeated two higher-ranked players to move one step closer to securing a spot in the main draw.
In the second qualifying round, Jarvis defeated Egypt’s Youssef Abdel-Aziz, who is ranked 90th in the world. He then went on to secure a convincing 3-0 victory against world number 121, Huang Yan-Cheng of Chinese Taipei, in the third qualifying round.

Majoros had earlier defeated England’s Paul Drinkhall in four sets to reach this stage of the competition. The match between Jarvis and Majoros will be contested on table 3 and will be streamed live on the official WTT YouTube channel, scheduled to start at 4:40 pm UK time.
